The grand finale of the 2024 World Endurance Championship is approaching with the 24 Hours of the Bol d’Or, a classic event that will be held on the Paul Ricard circuit in France.
The event represents great news and an important opportunity for Kevin Manfredi from La Spezia: his debut as an official rider in the EWC class as the fourth rider of the FCC TSR Honda Team.
Kevin has had a promising start to the season with the Wojcik Racing Team 777, demonstrating great speed right from the first races, both at Le Mans and at SPA, aboard the Honda CBR 1000RR, consistently remaining among the fastest in the Superstock category.
These results have prompted TSR and Honda France to promote Kevin for the 24 Hours of Bol d’Or, placing him in the official TSR Honda France Team, the renowned FCC Team founded in 1961 in Japan, which in 1991 achieved two victories in the MotoGP with Noboru Ueda, Kevin’s Team manager at the 2024 Suzuka 8 Hours.
Kevin: “Becoming a rider for the FCC TSR Honda France Team, one of the main Teams in the Endurance World Championship over the last ten years, is a great honor and an extraordinary opportunity for me. When I received the offer, for a moment I thought it was a joke, but then I realized it was all true and I didn’t hesitate to accept. I had also received other offers from other official Teams, but I think this was the right choice. Since I entered the EWC World Championship, I have been dreaming and working to get to the SBK class with an official Team: finally this opportunity has arrived. I will be the fourth rider of the Team on one of the circuits I love most in the world. I can't wait to start riding the official CBR and I thank Fujii from TSR, Bruno and Honda France for this opportunity."
Kevin Manfredi will therefore wear the red, blue and white colors of Team FCC TSR Honda France in the last round of the 2024 World Endurance Championship season, looking to achieve a strong performance to earn a full chance for the 2025 season.
