Kevin Manfredi, as already mentioned in the previous press release, in this new season will not only race the FIM EWC with the Wojcik Racing Team.
After winning the second European Supersport Title, the Spezzino rider decided to race in several Championships at the same time in the 2022 season.
We will therefore see Kevin also battling in the Italian Speed Championship with Goretti Ivan’s Penta Motorsport Team, the only Suzuki on the grid who will try to conquer the top positions in a very hard-fought class like Superbike.
A combination that returns to that of Kevin and Suzuki, after in 2016 the Spezzino class '95 won this bike that hadn't triumphed for 10 years.
In 2022, therefore, the just 27-year-old will return to dress the Hamamtsu brand with a new very difficult challenge, together with the Penta Motorsport Team he will try to grow progressively and achieve good results also thanks to the important help of the Andreani Group.
Kevin: “Suzuki has remained in my heart and it is precisely for this reason that I decided to accept this challenge, I believe that the GSX-R1000 has great potential, as can be seen in the EWC Championship, in the BSB and in the MotoAmerica, Team Penta Motorsport has a lot of interest in making this bike grow also in CIV SBK and the single control unit and the switch to Dunlop tires could be the right opportunity to further mix the cards on the table.
I am very ready to face this new adventure which, as already mentioned, will certainly be difficult, we will have a package of really tough opponents and teams but we will do our best to get the best possible results.
The pre-season test program and the work to be done with MoTeC electronics and Dunlop tires will be defined shortly, which I will also find in the World Endurance Championship, I can't wait to get started! "
